I'm back!!

Just wanted to write a quick post for all of you blog-faithfuls out there.... no we haven't fell of the edge of the earth - sorry I haven't posted for a long time!  So much for my one-post-per-week goal!  Our Internet has been down so I haven't been able to get online.  Plus we have been really busy lately - which means lots of pics to come soon!!  But I have a work conference in Breezy Point Wed-Fri so won't be able to post then either.  But stay tuned - I promise more pictures to come!

1st Day of School

On Thursday Julianne had her first day of ECFE class.  She'll have a class every Thursday in April plus one next Monday for Farm Baby Animals!  The first class went okay - not great - just okay.  It was Messy Toddler Painting night and she loved the painting and the water we used to clean up.  But soon got bored with that so she and another boy who she made friends with, were running the halls of the Buffalo Lake Elementary School (just like her daddy used to do!!) while the other kids were still painting.  Then it was time for parent discussion where the kids are supposed to play and let the moms talk - yeah right!  I sat down with the other moms and not 5 seconds later my little snickerdoodle was over on my lap.  We're still working on the "separation from mommy and playing by myself" milestone... Then the crying started.  No idea why - but Julianne wanted to go home.  She went to the door, which was closed, and whined that she wanted to go home.  It was almost the end of class and when the other kids started signing their good-bye songs she cheered up somewhat.  Then we were able to go home and she was happy as a clam and we had to sing the Itsy-Bitsy Spider song all the way home.  Go figure - daddy just couldn't figure out why mommy was so crabby when we got home... Let's hope (and pray!) next week goes better!

The weekend!

We had a fun weekend ...

Julianne had her toenails painted for the first time!  She didn't sit very still and wanted to touch them right away so they're a little messy, but still cute!

This is Jules' favorite book right now - we have to read it EVERY night before bed.  It's a Winney the Pooh book that has actions to nursery rhymes.  In this one she's "counting" her fingers.

Grandma Sheri made some cupcakes for us. Julianne loved them - although not sure if she really ate any of the cupcake or just licked the frosting off.  That's my girl; a chocolate lover like her mommy!  I know all the Brauns out there are proud! :-)

Isn't this the cutest picture you've ever seen??  Well at least I think so!  Julianne was wore out tonight - she only got a 10 minute nap in the car so was asleep by 6:30 pm next to Daddy on the couch.
