Cookies with Grandpa

What would Christmas be without sour cream cut-out cookies?!?!?!  A couple weeks ago Julianne and Grandpa "helped" Grandma Sheri make cookies.  I think Sheri is still cleaning flour and sprinkles off her kitchen floor!

And let the games begin...

who has more flour on their face - Jules or Grandpa??

Nice and easy with the sprinkles

 Rolling out more dough

Taste testing...

 More sprinkles - steady...

 Getting the sprinkles just right!

Of course, they need frosting too!

So much fun!

The finished product - she was so proud of her cookies - the "beautiful snowflake" and the "ginger man"

Cereal

At four months old, we got the okay to try rice cereal - I don't think William was too fond of it at first!!

But this picture was taken a couple weeks ago and he's now eating like a champ!  He even had his first vegetable tonight - sweet potatoes - and loved it - he couldn't get enough!

Naughty or Nice?

Naughty or Nice????  I'll let Santa decide!

Santa - Take 2
The first time we went to visit Santa, Julianne wanted nothing to do with him and would NOT go sit on his lap.

I think this little guy thinks Santa's okay...

3 Months!

What a difference a month can make!  William was 3 months old on 11-16-12 and so much has changed!  Will was really fussy and I got to the point where I was going to try anything.  One of my friends suggested I try the chiropractor.  I was a little leary, but was willing to try it.  And what a difference it has made!  Upon first evaluation, they discovered that he had a couple bones out of place in the very top of his neck; he couldn't even turn his head all the way to one side.  He's now has full range of motion and his head doesn't sit cock-eyed when they hang him upside down - which is a good thing!  He also has a completely different personality now.  He's smiley and can just sit in his chair or lay on the floor for a long time without fussing.  He also continues to sleep really well.  He has been sleeping through the night - asleep by 8 pm and will wake up around 6.  He still doesn't nap the best during the day -only taking short 40 minute naps, but I can't complain since he's sleeping so well at night!

Baptism

Last Sunday, November 18, we had baptism for William and Henry.  We decided to have  "double baptism" to make things a little easier - at least it was for us!  But it made a lot more work for my mom as she hosted the lunch afterwards with all three families, the Loncoriches, the Franks and the Weckmans. Thanks Mom!

I was honored to be asked to be Henry's sponsor!   Alissa, Josh, Henry, Pastor Brian and Henry's sponsors - me and Josh's brother Jeremy (holding Henry)

Julianne is thankful!

Okay... I just had to share Julianne's project from preschool today...

She's thankful for baby brother!  How sweet is that!

I'm so proud of her for how well she can write her name now too.  At the beginning of school, just two and a half months ago, she could just barely make a "J" and now she can write her whole name!

Caught up!

As of today, I now have my blog completely caught up!  And that's a good thing because on   Monday - I HAVE TO GO BACK TO WORK!!!!!  I'm quite sure I'll be too exhausted to blog for a while then! I can't believe my 12 weeks are almost over.  It's so great I was able to stay home with Will for this long, but I am ready to get back into my routine.  I'm a much better mommy when I can get out, use my critical thinking skills and socialize with adults. It definitely will be hard leaving Will at daycare all day, but I have a feeling "little mommy" Julianne will watch out for him when I'm not there!

Halloween

This year we had Princess Cinderella and a tiger at our house for Halloween.  The Saturday before Halloween, I took Julianne and at the last minute, Shay, to the party in Cosmos.  They had fun games for the kids and they got lots of candy.  I think their favorite part was getting their nails painted and tattoos!   Unfortunately, Julianne came down with pinkeye on Tuesday so had to miss her party at preschool, but by Wednesday she was better and we were able to go partying again!  One of the good things about being on maternity leave was that I could spend the whole day "trick-or-treating" with the kiddos!  We went to my mom and dad's and had lunch with them and Alissa, Josh and Henry.  Then we visited my Grandma Florence in Buffalo Lake and my Grandma Edna in Hutch.  Then we were off to the party in Brownton where Julianne played lots more games and got LOTS more candy!  It was a good day, but I was glad when it was over!  Now, what to do with all the candy - I hid it from Julianne so she wouldn't eat it all, but the bad part is now I know where it is and I find myself sneaking a treat quite often....

Julianne and Shay ready to go to Cosmos.  At the last minute, Shay decided to go with us and didn't have her costume... so I dug through Julianne's dress-up clothes and found a "princess" outfit for Shay too!

Taking a break to eat some of their hard earned candy!

Waiting in line for the fish pond game

The Loncorich grandkids - Julianne (3 1/2), William (11 weeks), Henry (3 weeks)

The boys!!  I swear - we did not buy the same outfits on purpose; it was by pure accident!!  It's just a sister thing!

Grandma and Will

Grandpa and Julianne.  My dad helps out at the party each year and this year he decided to get in the spirit and dress up too - such a good sport!

Jack-o-lantern

This weekend we carved our jack-o-lantern!

Cleaning out the "guts" - ewwww gross!

Julianne carefully inspecting her daddy's carving skills

Julianne getting the last of the yucky stuff out

The finished product!  We let Julianne pick what she wanted and she choose a frowny face!

Mommy and the kids with the pumpkin

oooooo - scary!!

Nelson Farm

Last weekend Nick's cousins, Katie and Sydney Macht, came over and we took the kids to the Nelson Farm.  Thanks for a fun day Katie and Syndey!

 Sydney, Katie and Julianne

Even Will got to go, although he pretty much stayed in the stroller the entire time!

Crawling through the tunnels

Slide

Katie and Julianne in the Derby car.  Lots of fun going down the hill... but lots of work going up!

Baby calf - just 37 days old!

Ready for the Clip-Clop Trolley ride.  Julianne's favorite part was when one of the horses took a poop during our ride.  Kids!

It was a chilly day, so we didn't stay too long at Nelson Farm. When we got back to our house, Katie and Sydney helped Julianne paint some pumpkins.

Julianne concentrating... She painted this pumpkin all by herself!

Katie helped Julianne paint another one

 The finished masterpieces!

Leaves

A couple weekends ago, Julianne and I took advantage of some warmer fall temps during Will's naptime and headed outside to have fun in the leaves! Julianne could have spent hours playing in the leaf piles.  She is developing quite the imagination - first her pile was a tunnel that we had to walk through, then it was a pool she was jumping in and then it was her princess house and we had to take turns placing crowns on our heads!  Now, if only someone would come pick up all the piles of leaves on our lawn...
